It’s the reunion no one believed would ever happen. Until it did. That’s right, Oasis is back together and going on a world tour. But before that, you can Definitely Maybe see them in Dubai.
In fact, you’ll be able to see them before anyone else at an incredible one-day festival also featuring Lady Gaga, Queen and Arctic Monkeys.
No, we’ve not gone Mad For It, this is the return of Trib Fest to Dubai – an all-day festival featuring tribute acts to the world’s most famous musicians.
The fest gives fans in the Middle East the chance to Roll With It and sing along to some undoubted bangers.
With tickets starting at Dhs120 for kids and Dhs200 for adults (and free for under 4s), it’s a chance to soak up the vibes of an Oasis gig without the stress of the Ticketmaster queue and travel arrangements to the UK for next year’s reunion tour.
Oasish (see what they did there?) is the UK’s top Oasis tribute band will bring the same stage presence, sound and look to The Irish Village in Garhoud on Saturday October 19.
And it’s not just Oasis on the bill, you’ll be able to chant along to soundalikes of Arctic Monkeys, Queen and Britney Spears.
In addition to specific band and artist tributes, there will be two acts taking to the stage covering wider eras of music.
The first one, Monsters of Rock, will cover the sounds of rock bands from the 80s and 90s like Deep Purple, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Guns n’ Roses and Metallica.
You’ll also, unusually, see hits from Blur on the same line-up as Oasis as cover act BritPop will play hits from other mid-90s Britpop bands including Pulp, Supergrass, The Verve, Ocean Colour Scene, The La’s, Primal Scream, The Wonderstuff and James.
Interestingly, there will also be tributes to two acts who are actually coming to the UAE this year with Maroon 5 and Kasabian replicas on the bill.
Trib Fest started in Bahrain back in 2011 and has been in Dubai twice previously, including earlier this year.
